Shannon + Michael 5.23.09

Shannon & Michael were married exactly a month ago at The Church of The Ascension in NYC and had a beautiful and fun reception at the Manhattan Penthouse.
The reception was beautiful, the flowers were gorgeous, the design consisted of high and low centerpieces by A Touch of Elegance, tall branch arrangements with deep red roses, callas and gerberas, deep burgundy floral tinsel linens made it all really pop.

Wedding Day Management Catherine Scerbo & Kathy
The groom's brother had a surprise for him as part of his best man speech--a life sized Star Wars Warrior (one of the groomsmen is underneath the costume). I had my picture taken with him while keeping him a secret from the bride and groom.

One nice touch for the end of the reception was our Candy Bar and the Coffee/Espresso Bar, Oh my gosh! Guests loved it!

Hitched or Ditched CW's Reality TV-- Tune in for June 16th's episode-- 9PM

It's not just wedding season here-it's taking over TV as well! A must see CW's new "Hitched or Ditched" hosted by Tanya McQueen ("Extreme Makeover: Home Edition"), executive producers Mike Fleiss ("The Bachelor"), Chris Coelen ("Secret Millionaire"), Greg Goldman ("Secret Millionaire," "Wife Swap"), Mike Duffy ("Addicted to Beauty") and Jason Ehrlich ("The Bachelor"). On this new reality TV show, friends nominate couples who have been together for so long that they need to make a definite decision; tie the knot already or break up...move on. Talk about pressure...

The show offers the couple the chance of a free wedding, a made-for-TV wedding, one like they’ve always dreamed of, no more excuses not to get married --- in one week! - :::Feeling any pressure yet?::: and they must announce whether they really want to get married once they get to the altar and the clergyman asks, "Do you take this man as your husband?" "Do you take this woman as your wife?"...................... oy

Last night I watched the first episode, "Bastards Out Of Carolina" Celisa and Travis battled with the resistance of both of their families and it finalized with CeLisa saying "I Do" and then being dumped by Travis.
This show really works like shock therapy on a relationship: Focus now or forever hold your peace. huh?

It's always amazing to see how cruel some people are willing to be with a camera pointed at them. But you'll be fascinated by the shifting feelings these couples go through before making up their minds at the moment of truth.

With all that said, mark your calendars to watch some not so drama-free episode on June 16th. I guarantee it's worth the watch!
I had the pleasure of asssisting Whose Wedding Is It Anyway (WWIIA) and celebrity planner, Samantha Goldberg on the taping of Hitched or Ditched, New Jersey's couple-- Courtney and Anthony at The Liberty House in Liberty State Park, Jersey City, NJ. Along with Sam, I got to work with some great professionals...

12.13.08 Congratulations Jennifer & Jared!

Busy Weekend part II...

Saturday, Samantha and I were off to The Merion in South Jersey for Jennifer & Jared's wedding. They were the sweetest couple ever and such a delight to work with.

J & J's bridal party was filled with just true and genuine friendship. It was very touching when one of the bridesmaids approached me expressing her gratitude to us for creating the wedding Jenn had visioned and the fact that the couple was happy filled her with joy.

Here we are with the sweetest groom and most stunning bride.

Samantha's pick of chocolate pintuck overlays was the perfect touch for their design concept; Elegance.

sugar, sugar...makes love so sweet

It was a pleasure working along with the following top notch wedding professionals that made Jennifer & Jared's wedding day a beautiful and memorable event...
