Create Your FREE Wedding Website

Creating a website will help you share the planned details of your wedding.
It's one of the best ways to communicate with your guests and loved ones through-out the planning process.
Project Wedding offers you a FREE Website!

And if you're wondering where to start, here are some tips on what to include in your wedding website:

~ Include dates, times, locations and what type of event it will be (religious ceremony, destination wedding, outdoor wedding, lakeside wedding etc...). Add maps to the ceremony and reception venues, especially if they are in different locations. This simple information will answer most of the questions your guests might have.

~ If guests are coming from out of town, use the website to make their travel arrangements easier. Include maps, hotel, (don't forget the room blocks)and rental car information. If possible include a price, so that guests have an idea of the variations of hotels, alternatives. Help them feel right at home with suggested local restaurants and local activities to entertain during their stay. If children are coming, make sure you include some kid-friendly ideas.

~Car transportation or taxi phone numbers to get to/from hotel to the site of the ceremony and wedding reception, (if they’re in different places). Directions will also be very helpful.

~ Your love story-- "how you met"and a picture of both of you (or a few, you can create albums). People love to delve into the personal lives of others and your story will not only provide interesting content, it will make your wedding more personal for your guests. **Including this information is optional**

~ Your registry information (and links)... (though it can’t go on your invitations, it can go here!)

~ Your attendants, their names, their role in your wedding and tell how you know them or why you chose them. Again, this kind of personal information is optional but will be interesting to your guests. This helps guests know who's is in the bridal party and know how they are affiliated--(bridal shower questions??...hint,hint)

***Avoid rambling. A little personal information is interesting; your life story from day one might be too much. Use your best judgment.

~ You may also like to include an RSVP feature so that people can RSVP via the internet (and you'll save a little paper!)

~A link to an online photo sharing site (photobucket, snapfish, kodak easy share etc..) so that people can post pictures before and after the wedding.

~ Updates or information that you think guests should know about but that you may have been unable to include with the invite; rehearsal, rehearsal dinner etc, traditions you may be incorporating into your wedding with an explanation and description.

~ A Guestbook! It will keep track of your website visitors and it will allow your visitors to show some love by leaving you a comment about your wedding webpage, wedding plans etc...

Have fun creating your website!
